Professional Commercial Photography - Los Angeles, California

Robert Duron started his photographic career in 1982 while on summer break from his first year of college for what was to be a promising career in law. As a summer job, Duron assisted a well known Hollywood photographer and was instantly hooked. He continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Otis/Parsons of Los Angeles.

Duron soon began photographing lifestyle and commercial fashion for American Fitness Magazine, beginning a career that would include the health and fitness industry for years to come. He photographed editorial assignments for magazines such as Shape, Men's Health, Muscle and Fitness among others and later becoming photo editor of Los Angeles Health and Fitness.

In 1986, Duron was honored with photographing the Presidential Portrait of Ronald and Nancy Reagan for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. The Portrait is on exhibit at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California.

In addition to the Reagans, Duron has photographed other high profile individuals and celebrities from musicians such as Ludacris, Jack Johnson, Perry Ferrell and Pat Benatar to actors such as the cast of Days of Our Lives to famous athletes such as PGA golfers Phil Mickelson and Scott Hoch, tennis stars Roger Federer, Tracy Austin and Lindsay Davenport, and Indy car racing champion Sam Hornish Jr. On a recent photo assignment, he photographed celebrity chef and TV personality Nick Stellino.

Duron works with numerous commercial and corporate clients in fields such as fashion, beauty, sports and fitness for advertising, editorial and entertainment communications.

Duron also actively works with non-profit organizations and foundations. Duron became involved with the ALS Association in 1998. He photographed what he considers to be the most important work of his career: a national print and PSA advertising campaign focusing on individuals who had found their own reason for hope while living with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). The ad campaign received two "Telly" Awards for PSA excellence.

Duron's fine art exhibitions include "Grande Jete," a black and white photographic series ofdancers who backed such stars as Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince. "Grande Jete" was on permanent display at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles for two years.

Duron is based out of Los Angeles, California and photographs commercially worldwide.
